Dr. JungJae “JJ” ParkDDS

Known to his patients as Dr. JJ Park, Dr. JungJae Park brings a background in engineering and advanced general dentistry training to our Stony Point team. He speaks both English and Korean.

Born in Seoul, he moved to the United States at age 18 to attend Culver Academies in Indiana. He earned a B.S. in Engineering Science with a concentration in Nanomedicine Engineering at the University of Virginia, graduating with highest distinction. Inspired by his father, an orthopedic surgeon, he discovered his interest in dentistry through volunteering and clinical shadowing.

Dr. Park earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, receiving merit and Richmond Dental Study Club Memorial Endowment scholarships. He also completed oral and maxillofacial surgery externships at Emory University and VCU Medical Center.

He went on to complete a general practice residency at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine / NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, gaining advanced experience caring for medically complex patients, including people with facial trauma and special healthcare needs.

His continuing education interests include implant surgery, bone grafting, restorative dentistry, and digital workflows. A certified Invisalign provider, he also volunteers on dental mission trips serving underserved communities.

Outside dentistry, Dr. Park enjoys speed skating, traveling, and spending time with his family in Korea.
